Increase Internet Connection Speed in Windows XP

This tip is designed for increased BROADBAND speed in Windows XP, but it should work for 56k modems too.

QoS Packet Scheduler is a method of network bandwidth management that can monitor the importance of data packets and depending upon the priority of the packet, give it higher or lower priority or bandwidth levels. It's not very useful unless you're using apps which are QoS-aware or running a server, so you can gain some network overhead back by turning it off.

Note: This following tip will not work on XP Home Edition.

1. Make sure you're logged on as actually "Administrator". Do not log on with any account that just has administrator privileges.
2. Start > Run > type gpedit.msc (not available in home version).
3. Expand the Local Computer Policy branch.
4. Expand the Administrative Templates branch.
5. Expand the Network branch.
6. Highlight the "QoS Packet Scheduler" in left window.
7. In right window double click the "limit reservable bandwidth" setting.
8. On setting tab check the ENABLED item.
9. Where it says "Bandwidth limit %" change it to read 0 (ZERO).
10. Close gpedit.msc.

Effect is immediate on some systems, some need to re-boot.

Cara Membuat Account ALERTPAY

Bisnis online mungkin hal yang bukan asing lagi bagi para netter, banyak sekali macam dari bisnis online yang ada, baik itu yang berbasis di dalam negeri ataupun yang berbasis luar negeri.

   4. Address Line 2 : Alamat anda yang lain (tidak perlu diisi cukup yang pertama aja)
   5. City / Town : Nama kota (kabupaten)
   6. Region : Nama propinsi
   7. Postal code : Kodepos
   8. Country of Citizenship : Kewarganegaraan
   9. Home phone : Telepon rumah (kalau tidak ada mungkin bisa diisi no hp)
   10. Work home : Telepon kantor (tidak diisi tidak apa-apa)
   11. Mobile phone : Hp (tidak diisi tidak apa-apa)
   12. Occupation : Pekerjaan
   13. Date of Birth : Tanggal lahir
   


5. Setelah itu klik tombol next


6. Setelah itu anda akan sampai pada Alertpay Account, yang mana informasi tersebut sabagai data anda untuk dapat login ke account alertpay anda.
   
   Berikut keterangan dari setiap field-field yang ada:
   1. Email Address dan Re-enter Email Address : Nama email anda pakai buat login
   2. Password dan Re-enter Password : Password yang anda pakai buat login (Minimum 6 digit)
   3. Transaction PIN dan Re-Enter Transaction PIN : PIN anda buat transaksi (4-8 digit)
   4. Security Question #1 dan #2 : Pertanyaan keamanan apabila anda lupa password dan meminta password baru
   5. Answer #1 dan #2 : Jawaban dari pertanyaan di atas
   6. Kemudian pilih No pada Third Party Information
   7. Kemudian isikan Word Verification sesuai dengan gambar yang ada
   8. Kemudian contreng User Agreement
   9. Terakhir klik tombol Register


7. Setelah itu anda akan sampai pada halaman Validate Email, pada halaman ini anda diperintahkan untuk mengecek email validasi yang sudah dikirimkan alertpay pada alamat email anda. kalau anda sudah menerima maka klik link validasi yang ada.


8. Apabila anda telah klik link validasi, maka anda akan dibawa ke halaman validasi email dan anda tinggal memasukkan email dan password anda untuk login. Setelah itu maka account alertpay anda sudah jadi.

Setelah alamat anda jadi maka anda sudah mempunyai account alertpay, meskipun masih ada satu tahap lagi yang anda perlu lakukan agar account tersebut dapat digunakan untuk melakukan transaksi. Untuk langkah selanjutnya akan lanjutkan pada pembahasan yang akan datang.....^_^
